the sunday walk VI

3 reflections

it's been a while since my last post on a sunday walk. it's not that i haven't been on any walks... it's just that my camera has preferred to stay in my pocket... rain, fog, greyness and what not.

on this sunday, however, the light was glorious and Elsinore is a very pitoresque place for a walk. there's the castle... with grotesque faces...

there's Shakespeare... lovely hair and all... the text tells us how Shakespeare got inspired by the saga of the danish prince Amleth and did a trans-literation to let him live in the Kronborg castle and by his magical story telling powers gave the prince and this castle an undying legacy.
and then... there's the town of Elsinore itself...

the colours... the sun in my face... seemed like a magical sunday... it might be because there's a good chance that i've actually, finally found The New Home... but maybe it's simply the spring in the air.

the sun was out.
the wintry rays of it was so strong that everything seemed bleached.
washed out after a long summer, an even longer autumn and this intense sun.

except for the ocean and the sky itself.
looking inland was a washed out, sandy blur.
looking out over the ocean was... glorious.

it's getting darker and the camera seems to want to spend less & less time in my hand. still, i did catch a little light, a little colour.

the leaves growing all over this abandoned building were really brightening the day...

... more bright leaves -

some pink berries behind the ...? here they are called 'snow berries' do you know their english name? i adore their perfect whiteness and the way they seem to hang around forever. -

and finally a snail hiding beneath hops.

seems like this is turning into a tradition. i like it. so i give it numbers.
a numbered log of sunday walks.
yes.
also seems like someone forgot something.
am reading Nick Hornby's novel Slam at the moment (the narrating boy is all about skating) so i found this sight a weird coincidence.

it must be the millionth time i have that dream; i really, really wished for a pair of wings to fly out over this:

a bit late, i know, but here's some imagery from a walk.
wanted to gather chestnuts. i can never get enough of them - the look AND the feel of them.
also wanted to look at some flowers as they will be all gone soon. Caprifolium prettifying moss, prettifying rocks.
someone dropped pieces of jewellery all around this abandoned pasture.
on the way back (to hot coco) we saw the remnants of a slaughter. big rocks can be used in many ways...
and this fellow. nope, didn't kiss him, i don't need another prince in my life.

my favourite weather - cold but clear, crisp yet sunny.
these shroomies, growing on the end of a cut down tree, reminded me of Jabba the Hut. and his breath.

no, i didn't travel to the mangroves. it's just soggy.
gotta love a rainbow...............
three females trying to run away:
the male giving chase:
they gave in when he became noisy. crazy noise he could make - starts out like a lion and ends somewhat like a creaking door.
there's three noisy ones in here if you wanna play hide & seek:

thank you for a glorious day.
