the sunday walk

[remember that you can click on each image to enlarge it... Mama & other non-blogging readers ;-) ]
my favourite weather - cold but clear, crisp yet sunny.
these shroomies, growing on the end of a cut down tree, reminded me of Jabba the Hut. and his breath.

no, i didn't travel to the mangroves. it's just soggy.
gotta love a rainbow...............
three females trying to run away:
the male giving chase:
they gave in when he became noisy. crazy noise he could make - starts out like a lion and ends somewhat like a creaking door.
there's three noisy ones in here if you wanna play hide & seek:

thank you for a glorious day.

Some walk! The northern hemisphere seems especially pretty this week, a nice diversion from everything.

Those must be red deer? Similar to the elk (wapiti) found in North America, and much bigger than our local black-tailed mule deer. What a thrill.

yep, it was pretty special :-) this autumn is the most beautiful i can remember. it's my favourite time of year and this one has had sun every day!!! rain too, of course, but every day the sun has been there to play with colours.
it is indeed red deer, in abundance. normally i find them very fascinating but this time of year they are a wee bit scary. at least the angry males are.
