a dream

it was in British Columbia. i don't recall the name of the place but it is serene. behind the house there are railway tracks so once in a while a long cargo train will pass slowly by with a monotome rythm of heaviness. apart from that, there is total silence for in front of the house there is only the lake and the view. blue and silver lake for a long, soft stretch and then the view of the jagged mountains and their white hats. truly serene.

it was at this BC place, but in the dream it was winter so the lake was frozen and there was snow everywhere - even next to the fire place inside (i guess that part comes from the intense winter weather i'm experiencing these weeks... but oh, how i wish you could have snow inside in real life... it was intensely pretty)

it was a celebration of some kind, quite a few people where gathered and i walked around outside, looking in through window after window showing people laughing, singing, telling stories while seated in circles (i guess that part has to do with my sisters party in the mountains moving closer... but the story telling is where things start to get a little rosy 'cause i've never actually experienced that)

all in all a sweet dream. sweet dreams are made of this: pretty landscapes, happy people, pittoresque celebrations... apparently all this perfection was not enough for the dreaming me, no. i was walking around meeting people and ending up loving every single one. not in a "will you marry me tomorrow" way but in a quiet, solemn way. i walked hand in hand with an old woman on the frozen lake. i put my head on the shoulder of the guy fishing through a hole in the ice. i was endlessly hugged my someone comming out of a sauna, steaming in the cold. i didn't recognise a single person but each one felt like family. is that
or what??!!??
is that not the definition of a hippie dream?

all sarcasm and shocked irony aside, i woke up feeling intensely happy. the anguish about my crazy actions on new years night was gone. i had a choir singing softly in my head, the sun was just comming out and i still feel as if everything is going to be fine.
feeling nurtured by a dream is a strange, almost surreal feeling but i am grateful for an imagination that can throw memories, wishes and anxieties in the mental blender and come out with this sumptuous result.

oh, at the end here i must add:
it was night. the moon made the snow glittter, the shadows long and everyones skin colour the same dove grey tone. thank you for the company, happy dream people under the bright stars, you're welcome any time.

Wow...very rich. Love the image of being hugged by someone steaming on the ice :) I had to choose seven beautiful blogs to continue a tag I was given so I'm tagging you! However, if it's not your thing, just ignore. xo
